Dear coaches: u should start sending out resumes
Dear Andy Reid & Romeo Crennel
You do not know me, but I am an avid football fan. I don’t pretend to know as much as you, nor am I disillusioned into thinking I watch as much game tape. I am not privy to any internal discussions, and I’m certainly not on the team’s payroll.
With that said, my eyes do not lie-I know what I see.
I saw two head coaches pull their starting quarterbacks in Sunday’s game. I saw a ten year veteran get yanked for a “rookie-plus” quarterback, and a second year player get pulled for a mistake prone signal caller.
I saw two head coaches who seem to want to put the ineffective play of the team on the shoulders of their quarterback.Â
I saw two head coaches whose awful play calling and terrible adjustment to the opposition caused more damage than any turnover could ever hope to accomplish.
I saw two head coaches whose players seemed to be going through the motions-not catching well, not blocking well, and not tackling well. That’s football 101.
But most importantly, I saw two head coaches who are failing to live up to their names and reputations. Two head coaches who have been on teams that, in the past, have been in Superbowls and were of winning tradition.
I now see two head coaches who might not be head coaches for long. And I don’t need an ear to the owner’s box to know that.
Sincerely,
Michael Langston Moore
