Pacman Jones
For anyone who believes in Karma-and anyone who doesn’t, for that matter-rest assured that Adam “PacMan” Jones may soon be reaching his most ironic fate in the National Football League.
After a six game suspension from the league-his second ban from the NFL due to his disturbing off-the-field behavior-Jones returned to the gridiron on Sunday. On a muffed punt, however, Jones suffered a neck injury. As reported by a few NFL experts, it seems that Jones will not only miss the upcoming game against the Giants on Sunday, but he might be done for the season.
Injury should never be wished upon anyone, but there seems to be some sort of divine intervention here. First O.J, now PacMan Jones. If I was Chris Henry, I’d sleep with one eye open.
PacMan Jones has caused his team a lot of headaches. Jerry Jones took a flier on him knowing his history. He had to be surrounded by body guards hired by the team to baby-sit him like an infant. His teammates had to answer questions about his second suspension from the league, and now it looks like PacMan has written another chapter of his sad story.
For a player who was such a pain in the neck for his coaches, teammates, and fans, it’s almost poetic that a neck injury might sideline his season (and even career).
