Jamal Tells All
By Jamal Kelly
It’s Official: The Boy is Monica’s. Monica Shut Brandy down in a “Boy is Mine” reunion.
Â
Former Teen Queens Monica and Brandy reunited, in ATL at a VH1 Soul Session, for an impromptu performance of “The Boy is Mine. Though Brandy was present to promote her new CD “Human”, it was Monica who clearly stole the spotlight. The song is SUPPOSED to be a mythical riff between the two, but it seemed that Monica took her role to heart, upstaging Brandy with vocals and audience participation. Although the duo has squashed rumors of having beefs in the past, this recent performance may just bring speculations back to light. SIDEBAR: Why in the hell is Brandy mouthing the words to Monica’s verse????Â

Speaking of kings, King James & Ice Cube link for a TV project
Legendary rapper Ice Cube and basketball phenom Lebron James have reportedly joined forces for the development of a one-hour drama for ABC. According to The Plain Dealer, The show will be based around the Cleveland Cavs star’s experiences as a black high school student playing in a small town (how original), is slated to debut next fall. For Ice Cube, it’s his third television project. In 2006, he produced a FX reality show called “Black.White,” and has signed on as an executive producer for an upcoming cop comedy series for NBC. Can we say SNOOZEFEST?…zzzzzzzzzz. Sorry, I fell asleep for a second.
