Ten Burning Sports Questions

By Terrance Harris

Do You Have the Answers?

1. As sorry as the Detroit Lions are, have been and will continue to be why are we forced to watch this train wreck every Thanskgiving meal?

2. Isn’t it crazy that after all these years Allen Iverson still doesn’t see the importance of practice? We’re talking about practice….practice!

3. Doesn’t the three-way tie at season’s end between Texas, Texas Tech and Oklahoma in the Big 12 South and all silly tie-breaker rules just make an even stronger case for a playoff system at college football’s highest level?

4. If Lebron James is in such a hurry to get out of Cleveland and get to New York, why don’t the Cavs work out a deal with the New Yorks Knicks today?

5. Don’t you think Charles Barkley should punk Lebron for calling him stupid after Sir Charles questioned why The King was even entertaining questions about where he might be playing in 2010?

6. Why are we just not that interested in the college basketball season yet?

7. What are the chances that the Dallas Cowboys, the odds on favorites to win the Super Bowl before the season began, won’t even make the playoffs this postseason?

8. Shouldn’t Cleveland Browns head coach Romeo Crennel lose his job the second after the NFL regular-season is over?

9. Are we excited about the prospects of the Celtics-Lakers NBA Finals II?

10. Where are the brothas in the Heisman Trophy race this year?

Terry, this is great. And they are burning questions, especially numbers 2,4,5,8 and 10. I look forward to reading more of your posts, more frequently at that.

Iverson is and always be a knucklehead.
Ditto for Plaxico Burress and Pacman Jones.
The Cowboys will make the playoffs.
And whats the use of a playoff system when the head to head format we already have doesn’t matter. Remember Texas beat Oklahoma by 10 on a neutral field. In fact they dominated the second half.

Good list. I might add will Plaxico’s lawyer get him off like he did Diddy? And where have the black head football coaches gone? Miami’s Randy Shannon is the last man standing.

Well, I was at the Lions-Titans game last Thursday, and it was a waste of an afternoon. The biggest turkey I’ve ever seen wore a Lions uniform. I’m hoping that my being at the game will become a piece of history, and it will if the Lions go 0-16. I’m rooting for ‘em.

All good points, and I’ll toss out another pertaining to college football: Does anyone even bother to defend the BCS anymore?

LeBron James loves attention and all of this attention associated with his expected move to New York (or Brooklyn, or Newark, or where ever the Nets are playing in 2010) is right up his alley. Yes, the Cavs should trade him now but they wouldn’t dare because LeBron has the organization by the (blank). He is the biggest tease since Sally Moore in high school.

Why am I so torn between this love triangle of Coach Cowher coming from the Browns to coach the Steelers and now possibly returning to coach the Browns…it’s a Steeler’s fan nightmare!!!

Not interested in a finals that include boston and Los Angelos at this time. these two teams are not a favorite of minds. I would like to see some a series of Atlanta Hawks play the Portland Trailblazers. I like youth and excitement uptempo basketball rather than some old men who cant shoot to well playing at a slow tempo.

Terrence, you make some great points. All BCS school Presidents should take basic math 101 to figure out the bowl games. Your boy Crennel should have stayed with Pats..he didn’t have to coach. Lebron’s best chance for a championship is with the Cavs, or the Celtics,or Laker’s…go figure. I think a may start a NBA franchise with Marbury and Iverson..You think. Good Article…keep it up!

The brotha’s may not be in the Heisman Race but I bet one of “us” will be the Number One Pick in the NFL Draft.
